Outdoor furniture can completely transform your garden. Wooden deck furniture had made a big come back in recent years and many people now prefer this to the more modern metal based deck patio furniture. They can all look brilliant but will need to be themed to the style of your house and garden. But it's not quite as straightforward as that. You can pick up a whole outdoor suite for less than $300 or you can spend upwards of $3000. This varies so much partly because of the quality of workmanship. Some furniture is build on mass productions lines and widely available. This tends to be at the cheaper end of the scale. Other patio furniture is made by small or family run businesses that take great pride in their work and produce only the best. This will be far more expensive but is likely to last for many years if looked after properly. In the middle range of the scale you will find your imported furniture. A lot of great work actually comes from Thailand. Due to the economy in that part of the world it is very cheap to buy good quality outdoor furniture and a company's biggest cost is the shipping. This can be a good option as it will last a long time and is available at a reasonable price. I would call this mi-budget furniture.
Another factor to consider when purchasing your deck patio furniture is whether you have a place to store it during wet or cold periods. If not, then you will need to ensure that your outdoor furniture (especially if it's wooden) is waterproof. Even if it is you will need to re-treat your furniture every couple of years to get the most from it. Having worked for an import company I have seen another option that may interest you. You can now buy deck patio furniture that is made to look wooden and usually has a wicker style but is actually made completely from plastic. It doesn't look cheap and will not deteriorate, as it is immune to all weathers. I believe this option will become far more popular in the next few years.
But, at the end of the day it all comes down to personal taste and style. Some prefer teak deck patio furniture. Some prefer beach or hard wooden deck furniture.
